Why this platform exists

Compass Revision was created to give learners a focused, low-cost way to practice difficult theory between lessons, courses and time on the water. It combines concise explanations with active recall, mixed questions, flashcards and visual training tools. It is a revision companion, not a training centre, recognised course, assessment or certificate provider.

Research and sources

Official course descriptions establish scope. Rules, weather, safety and navigation claims use the relevant regulator, standards body or public-safety source. Corrections are tracked so the teaching and its supporting sources stay aligned.

Corrections are part of publishing

Every page includes a route for reporting a problem. Factual and safety concerns are prioritised, checked against the cited source and recorded with the corrected content. Review dates change only when a substantive review has taken place.
